This centipede came from the same house as the one I found last year. Also found the same month as last year.

Hemiscolopendra marginata (Say, 1821), a common centipede from the James River, Virginia, to southern peninsular Florida, ranging westward to Oklahoma and Presidio Co., TX, west of Big Bend Nat. Pk. It frequently enters houses & buildings.

Found one last night
When I lifted a bag of dog food. My wife also recently reported a 'scorpion' in the bathroom, and it turned out to be one of these. I've found a few in the shower as well. I don't find many bugs in my home, but these certainly seem to be like it :).
