Orsodacnid leaf beetle - Orsodacne atra
Athens/ Ben Burton Park, Clarke County, Georgia, USA

Size: about 1 cm
This is one of the beetles from the other shot; I think it's the female since she's large and has dull coloration, quite different from the male apparently. I still have no clue.

Orsodacne atra
like Donald suggested these are Orsodacne atra. They feed on pollen.
