Bee fly? - Toxophora

Bee fly? - Toxophora
MacArthur Beach State Park, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
March 26, 2008
Size: ~5 mm

Moved
Moved from Bee Flies.

ID
Yes! This is a species of Toxophora, an atypical genus related to the also offbeat wasp mimics in Systropus. Great shot: such gnarly shins but such tender toes.
