Immature Phidippus audax - Phidippus audax

Immature Phidippus audax - Phidippus audax
Bear, New Castle County, Delaware, USA
March 27, 2008
Size: ~8 mm
Is this the atypical variety? Looks similar to Lynette's photo.

P. audax
Your audax seems typical for an immature audax. Immature audax very often have orange spots. I would suggest that Lynette's audax should be posted under the "typical audax" as well.

Thank you
Thank you both for ID as typical audax and clarifying orange spots as an immature trait.

P. audax
although I don't follow the discussions on what may or may not be "typical" in audax, they vary a great deal in coloration,
this looks pretty normal for what I see on Cape Cod.
