Ravine Trapdoor Spider - Cyclocosmia truncata - female

Ravine Trapdoor Spider - Cyclocosmia truncata - Female
Rome, Floyd County, Georgia, USA
March 27, 2008
Cyclosmia truncata, threat display. After finding this amazing arachnid, I let it walk around in the area where it lived to photograph it. When she started to wander away from the area, I gently nudged her with a small stick to keep her from going to far. She didn't take too kindly to this, however.
