That brown bump shows that the far end (not under the leaf) is the caudal end.
I bet this is probably a member of the family Sphingidae...

Beyond that I have no idea!

It always helps to show the entire critter.
In case distinguishing characteristics were on the head of this specimen it would be impossible to give a full ID.
