An early (there ws still 1 foot of snow outside) isopoda which wandered across the floor of my kitchen.

Photographed near Curlew Lake, 10 miles north of Republic, 150 miles east of hte Cascade Mountains, 20 miles south of the Canadian border.

This is a Porcellio scaber. The shape of the telson distinguishes from P. dilatatus (another cosmopolitan) while the rough surface shows that it cannot be P. laevis either.
