Long-necked Seed Bug - Myodocha serripes

Long-necked Seed Bug - Myodocha serripes
Durham County, North Carolina, USA
May 14, 2005
Size: 8 mm
Here's one from North Carolina. This is a widespread species, and had eluded me until recently. I was on my porch at night looking at moths and this bug hitched a ride on me. It was very active, and I managed to capture it, then chill it briefly for a couple of posed photos before release. Length was measured by photographing adjacent to a scale.
