Found in bathroom. It appears to be a good match for Conoderus bellus.

Count me in:

at least the genus
at least the genus is correct, and probably the species. C. bellus is the only one like this in the northeast, and probably the same for your area. Their size can vary greatly - 2x (this one is toward the small end)
