 tiny brown beetles - Cyphon

tiny brown beetles - Cyphon
University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire, USA

Size: 2-3 mm?
These small beetles can be found at the base of trees (at least in this case, it was a pine tree, I don't know if they can be found around others.)
There were allot of these guys, but that could either be because their gregarious of because it was (after all) winter and they were huddled together for warmth. They were found along side the little grey springtails shown earlier (the springtails I now believe to actually be two species & not one, thanks to Jim McClarin's help).

Moved from Beetles.

Scirtidae
