white legged fly - Colobaea

Size: 5-6mm
The front legs are extra long, and the lower half is all white. It looks like this fly was sending signals by waving it's front legs.
Help on this appreciated.

I think this could well be one of the smaller snail-killing flies, like Collobaea.
