Bruchomorpha oculata?

Bruchomorpha extensa
This species has a much bolder pale stripe down the back; but you are right, that it has an unusually long "nose" like that of B. oculata.

This is only the second time this prairie species has been reported from the Atlantic states. It is also known from a "shale barren" in MD, where it occurs only on Indian grass, Sorghastrum nutans. Any information on where you found this specimen would be appreciated.

Bruchomorpha
Thanks for the ID Andy! I can't seem to find my notes on this one, but I'm pretty sure I remember where it was collected (a field dominated by indian grass, little bluestem and broom sedge). I'll keep my eyes open for more
