Dead Brown Earth-boring Dung Beetle

Dead Brown Earth-boring Dung Beetle
1000 Palms Oasis, Riverside County, California, USA
April 1, 2008
Found Dead on the path to the oasis. It had ants and perhaps some other bugs on it. I think it looks like a Dichotomius Dung Beetle?? I didn't measure it, but it was fairly large as beetles go.
