Mantid egg case or something else?

Yes...
...this is definitely a Praying Mantis egg case but I am not sure of species.

Thank you, I believe that Praying Mantis is another common name for European Mantis (Mantis religiosa) or did you mean to just say Mantis egg case?

 
Mantis egg case
I meant to just say Mantis egg case. I have seen several of these egg cases in my area and am interested to find out which species makes them. The Praying Mantis (European Mantis) is in my area but so is the Chinese Mantid.
