Size: 5mm
The top of the thorax and wings look different than the mosquitos and gnats that I've been seeing. Is this different?

Chaoboridae
Looks like a chaoborid. Pity I haven't looked at members of the family for some time, or I would be positive.

Checked the collection, and it is Chaoborus flavicans.
