Aggregation of trapdoors

Aggregation of trapdoors
Five Canyons Open Space, Alameda County, California, USA
January 24, 2020
I stopped here to see if I could find a mygalomorph that I'd seen after dark in December. I noticed a lot of spots that were lighter than the rest of the dirt so took a closer look, and forgot about the other burrow, which didn't have a door and I assumed it was a small Calisoga.

This is the largest aggregation of trapdoors I've ever come across. These were taken between sunset and half an hour after, so not quite dark and none had their doors cracked open. There were various sizes and I estimate 40-50, possibly more.
