Is it possible to find out which Syrphid Fly this is?

Normally
It would be nearly impossible indeed, but if this is a male Syrphus with hairy eyes it can only be Syrphus torvus.

Syrphus ?
Probably Syrphus sp., but it will be hard to go further...
