Misumenops - male

Misumenops - Male
Durham, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
April 19, 2008
Size: ~2.5+ mm
Found on a young shrub, just below waste-high in an overgrown flower garden. Brought the twig inside to photograph as things were too windy outside and the little critter almost succeeded in parachuting up and away in the draft of the ceiling fan.

Unfortunately the first image, with its slightly better crab-like posture is just a little soft in the eyes.

Can one tell from this view of the pedipalps whether its a mature male?

Moved
Moved from Crab Spiders.

Yes, this and the next spider
are both Misumenops. Unfortunately we haven't heard from an expert yet how to tell the species apart.
