Sap-feeding Beetle - Colopterus
In Westwood by outdoor night light; elevation 5100ft, Lassen County, California, USA

Size: Body length 2mm
Perhaps species Colopterus truncatus, see here: (1).
My thanks for confirmation or otherwise.

This was just one of a couple dozen of these tiny beetles that showed up between new, and damp, 2x6's (Douglas Fir lumber).
