Colorful anobiid emerges - Eucrada humeralis - female

Colorful anobiid emerges - Eucrada humeralis - Female
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
March 25, 2008
Size: larva about 6 mm
This is the fairly large anobiid larva, one I consider to be especially bushy/bristly, that I found while debarking a red oak I felled the same day.
