This was a fast-moving little beetle on Globemallow. It's beautiful and I have no idea what it is.

Not an ID
but maybe something in the Cleridae? Some of the ornate checkered beetles look similar. Nice find!

It certainly could be and the general look is the same. The desert is so full of wildflowers right now. Insects are plentiful.
