Misumena vatia with prey - Misumena vatia - female

Misumena vatia with prey - Misumena vatia - Female
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
May 18, 2005
I think this is a Misumena vatia, can anyone ID the prey?

Wish we could see the face better
There does seem to be kind of a ridge there, but everything else says Misumena, the eyes, the carapace pattern, as well as the abdomen pattern. Plus it doesn't seem that Misumenoides is found that far northwest. Seems to us that Misumena is still the right choice for this one

Andrena?
Prey looks like male Andrena.

subgenus Andrena male
I think

Prey ID
Thanks again Adalbert for your post. Its appreciated.

I think this may be Misumenoides formocipes
- the white ridge across below the eyes differentiates this from Misumena. See guide.

Crab spider ID
I'm not an official volunteer. I agree that it is Misumenoides formosipes. There is a red band inder the eyes.
