Prays atomocella
With the forewing having the black spots rather large (compared to those of Yponomeuta) and the apical fringe rust colored (versus white in Yponomeuta), this moth is diagnosed as Yponomeutidae: Prays atomocella. It has one generation per year. In early spring, the larva feeds inside a new shoot of hoptree, Ptelea trifoliata (Rutaceae); then it pupates and emerges as an adult, in which stage it spends the rest of the year until mating and laying eggs the following spring.

It lays eggs the following spring!?
Wow! It overwinters as an adult? What does it do from June, when we took our images, until October?
