Found
Found one of these in a large Garbage container here in Colorado... There's a lot of Centipedes that look the same. The one I found has the black lines across the body JUST like this one, but the head of the one I found seems to be darker red than the one pictured here. I looked at the red headed centipede on this site, the head color is right, but now the black lines aren't as dark... So I'm kinda confused as to what this species of centipede I found is.
I don't know how to convert Cm into inches (I believe your 6cm centipede is pretty small). The centipede I found is 5.5 inches... A common centipede here in Colorado only grows to about 1.5 inches and are all dark red... so this large centipede was quite a sight for me to see for the first time. What should I feed it? Any suggestions? I post a picture as soon as I can... We named it Sam LOL. Also do you know of any other large centipedes that could be found in Colorado (mostly southern Colorado)?
