Acanthocephala terminalis? - Acanthocephala terminalis

Acanthocephala terminalis? - Acanthocephala terminalis
Doniphan, Ripley County, Missouri, USA
April 24, 2008
Size: 4 cm?
Wouldn't let me get close to take it's picture before it flew away several times. Finally got it a couple of times. Never have seen anything like this bug before, but I searched the guide, and I think I found it.

Looks like it
Acanthocephala terminalis; bulging abdomen and those orange antennae top segments are unmistakable. Based on shape of hind femur I believe its a female. Hope an expert will jump in to confirm ID and gender.

Thank you!!!
