Tent Worms - Malacosoma americanum

Tent Worms - Malacosoma americanum
Fort Custer, Augusta, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
April 24, 2008
Found in the branches of an unknown tree.

Tent Caterpillars
I'm not sure which species they are since they are pretty young, maybe Eastern.

I am pretty sure they aren't worms, though. :)

Worms
Oh I know they aren't worms we just call them Tent "Worms" in my family. Probably a combination of Southern and Midwestern Slang.
