Size: 1.5cm (spider)
I found this jumping spider while out hiking yesterday. I think it is
Phidippus
, but I have no idea what the caterpillar is.

wow that
is one big caterpillar for the little gal.
im gonna guess the spider is
Phidippus johnsoni
since it looks like what i find over here and im not familiar with P.californicus which is also post to be in the area

Thanks for the identification.
P. johnsoni
seems to be the closest match, though there looks to be a good amount of variation in appearance between individuals. I'll leave the photo in the ID Request section for now in case anyone has something to say about the caterpillar.
