Large black, yellow and orange syrphid fly - Criorhina

Large black, yellow and orange syrphid fly - Criorhina
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
April 27, 2008
Size: around 15mm
I left the back door open and this one flew right in. I kept it in the fridge for about 10 minutes and that gave me about 20 seconds worth of shooting before it flew back into the window.
