Identification
Forewing brownish marooon with many fine parallel yellowish lines
Range
all of North America, including Alaska and the Canadian arctic
Season
Adults from April-August, April and May only in south; May to July in the north.
Food
Larvae feed on willow-herb (Epilobium spp.) and Prostrate Knotweed (Polygonum aviculare).
Remarks
One of the few moths whose range covers the entire continent.
