Toad bug ? - Gelastocoris oculatus

Toad bug ? - Gelastocoris oculatus
Pleasanton / Sunol, Alameda County, California, USA
April 27, 2008
Size: 1 cm
I recently learned about this interesting little bug's existence . It comes in many colors to blend with the river rocks , but I am not sure if it can change color ?? If you are lucky enough to see it hop , then you have a chance of taking it's photo , but if not it is a master of camoflauge .It lives along the water's edge and under nearby rocks . I would love to learn more about this little creature . Thanks for any comments

Yes.
Yes, it is a toad bug (adult). They do not change color. They prey on other small invertebrates. This appears to be a duplicate image. Please "frass" one of them. Thank you.
