Candy-striped Leafhopper - Graphocephala

Candy-striped Leafhopper - Graphocephala
Williamson County, Texas, USA
April 28, 2008
This individual was on a dead stalk of buttonbush near a young bald cypress, down in the riparian woods. Most of our leafhoppers are brownish or greenish and very shy (they quickly move to the opposite side of a twig from the camera lens and thus make photography difficult) but this one moved back into view after hiding for a moment.

When I looked at the images in this part of the guide, most seem to have been taken in late summer/early fall, so I thought this one worth contributing.
