On live box turtle, seemed to be causing damage to shell.

Sminthurus sp.
Family is Sminthuridae.
It is grazing on the microflora growing on the shell. It will not damage it, but clean it.

it does look kinda like a globular springtail
thats interesting i wonder if its eating the shell or something growing on it?

Looks like a globular springtail
of some sort. Hopefully Frans Janssens can speak to what it was doing on the turtle shell...
