Giant walkingstick (megaphasma dentricus)

Size: About 8" long.
We saw several large stick insects while camping at the Three Rivers Foundation's Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus. It is in the middle of nowhere, with lots of scrub brush, some prickly pear and a few scrawny trees.
