European Ground Beetle - Carabus nemoralis
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada

Size: 2.5 cm
These have been present for a few days, appearing at my front porch at night. Two knowledgeable residents of New Brunswick assure me that these are probably C. nemoralis, and that they are fairly common.
