Snowberry Clearwing - Hemaris diffinis

Snowberry Clearwing - Hemaris diffinis
Franklin, Tennessee, USA
April 26, 2008
Size: 8-9mm
I've been finding and collecting these from bush honeysuckle. They're in their 1st or 2nd instars, and most are less than 1cm in length. I'm guessing they're snowberry clearwing moths, as I've seen the adults flying around (I think the adults are snowberry clearwings, may be wrong). I'll raise them to adults and then keep one or two for pinning and then let the rest go.
