interesting--compare image of presumed P. bordeloni
I read your other comments about the vegetation and elevation at this site, so it seems like yours should be P. ferruginea. I just wanted to post a thumbnail of a presumed P. bordeloni from the lower Piedmont of NC--sure looks similar to your specimen:
