Evergreen Bag Worm - Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis

Evergreen Bag Worm - Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis
Racine, Racine County, Wisconsin, USA
May 5, 2008
Size: 1 1/2 - 2"
I assume this contains eggs since I just encountered it today. Is there a way to tell if it's full of eggs or is just an empty bag from a past season? I'm submitting this since there does not seem to be any images from Wisconsin in May for Evergreen Bag Worm.

From what I understand about bagworms...
The female bagworm will live her entire life in her bag. The male will undergo metamorphoses and emerge as a moth. The female will develop her young in the bag with her until they are old/big enough to leave and build their own bag.
