More bees at my bee house - Osmia cornifrons - Female
Willow Grove, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
May 1, 2008
My bee houses continue to be busy and a lot of fun to watch. There are about thirty finished nests. Interestingly they seal some of them with tan colored clay and others with white colored one. I wonder where they gather the material. I also wonder where they find the pollen, which plants, etc. Obviously they have all they need around here. I wish that my tubes (packages of hollow stems) were occupied too so that I could open some later and observe the grubs, but it seems that there were no takers.
I managed to make a short video
