Adam, thanks for getting this all the way down to species!

Adam, thanks for the subfamily id. If you can get it to genus that'd be nice, but if not, you did great with Paederinae.

 
Just needed to rule out the rest of the subtribe
This is Achenomorphus corticinus . I've picked this species up from a great variety of situations such as under debris on a beach and under loose sod at an agricultural field edge.
