They like maples and other tr
They like maples and other trees in the maple (acer) family also. I had these in my maple tree.

The common name...
...is a bit of a misnomer, since this is one of the most polyphagous species of North American Cerambycidae. I have reared adults from 16 different genera of woody plants just in Missouri - of those I would say Cercis was the most preferred.
