Yes
Malacosoma americanum (male). The only other Malacosoma species you should see in your area is disstria, which has dark AM/PM lines (and sometimes dark median area) rather than white AM/PM lines, and is overall more orange-brown.

I think so
The coloration of wing and flight time seem to fit. Someone else may have more knowledge regarding other species as six are listed at All-Leps however may not be distinguishable by photo.
