Polished Lady Beetle - Cycloneda munda
Kenner, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, USA
May 13, 2008
I have became very familiar with Spotless Ladybird Beetle (Cycloneda sanguinea). They are a lot easier to distinguish from both C. munda and C. polita because they have the "white dot". Unfortunately, I am still having trouble with the differences between C. munda and C. polita. Please tell me it isn't simply the region that any Cycloneda is found. If it is a color difference then this, I think, would be C. munda.
