Moth - Automeris io

Moth - Automeris io
Sand Springs, Osage County, Oklahoma, USA
May 18, 2008
Size: 51mm (2")
My brother-in-law also found this one, which is the same species as this one but we believe a different individual. He brought it to me but I took the pics on this one.

See, this is one of the reasons why I enjoy this so much....the UNBELIEVABLE beauty that exists in the wild. This moth didn't even look real it was so beautiful. I just can't get over it.

Please help with ID.
