You must be working 24 hours a day with all the beetle identifications you're making with the time you have avaiable.

Acupalpus pauperculus
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen. Some clues that help distinguish this from similar Acupalpus include: uniformly dark elytra that are very shiny non-iridescent, head normal (not enlarged). Thanks Tom.
