Cameraria

Cameraria
Chanhassen, Carver County, Minnesota, USA
June 15, 2007
Size: 4 mm long
ID by comparison with pinned specimen in MPG and Tom Murray's photo in BugGuide.

Moved
Moved from Cameraria australisella.

None of the images under australisella key to that species using Braun (1908) because they don't have an oblique dorsal streak behind the angulated fascia. I tried keying this one and got to chambersella, which I don't think is right either because that species doesn't have a dorsal streak before the fascia. Most of the images under australisella are bethunella, but this doesn't match that one either because it has an extra costal streak and the costal streaks are unmargined.

bethunella complex?
See BOLD:AAD5003 but also check out BOLD:ACR0479.

Cameraria arcuella?
It looks pretty good for Hodges 0807 (Cameraria arcuella).

too dark
I thought the same thing at first but arcuella is whitish not deep rusty orange. Don Davis has probably done the most work on this genus and he doesn't know what Tom's similar dissected specimens identified as australisella are on his website here. J-F Landry confirms that this is a complex and mentions that wing pattern is not dependable.
