Size: 5 mm
Found beneath a rotting log. This is another critter that I've long been familiar with ... but have not photographed until now. This encounter gave me the first up-close look at this creature, especially at its unusual tergite arrangement, which undoubtedly provides the organism great flexibility as it weaves its way through the dirt.
