Today we moved the firewood pile and discovered several of these. Don't know if they're related to the larva or the pupa. Certainly much smaller. We're thinking Phymatodes testaceus, Yanega fig. 188a.

Man, are these destructive.
I have seen very many as well. I'll have to post some pictures of the beetles and their destruction.

Looks like it to me.
Dark form here, which is more common in my experience than the testaceous form.
