A web of an adult female Northern Black Widow (Latrodectus variolus). Webs such as this can be found in great abundance in wooded areas where the Northern Widow is established. This particular web was incredibly large for a widow spider, being at least 3 and 1/2 feet in length and a little over 3 feet in height from the ground.
