Phymatidae - Phymata americana - female

Phymatidae - Phymata americana - Female
Pennypack Restoration Trust, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
May 29, 2005
Size: 10-12 mm
This ambush bug is a little larger than most I see. Maybe somebody can narrow it down to genus.
Southeastern PA

Moved
Moved from Jagged Ambush Bugs.

Phymatus female.
Phymatus is the only genus in the family in the northeast U.S. Getting to species is REALLY problematic, though:-) This is a female. Females tend to be lighter in color, more broad in the, uh, abdomen (I was going to say "rear," but that seemed unflattering!).

Thanks
