Little red bugs - Boisea trivittata

Little red bugs - Boisea trivittata
Deerfield, Massachusetts, USA
May 28, 2008
Size: 1mm
Did these just bugs just hatch out of these eggs? I watched a jumping spider stalk up on them for a while, then pounce right on the bugs and bounce off of them. After jumping on them one more time, I guess they didn't seem like a meal afterall...

Moved
Moved from True Bugs.

true bug nymphs
I guess of Miridae family - but not sure in these hatchlings . . .

Based on the eggs,
probably not Miridae, since their eggs are minute and inserted singly into plant stems.

They did come from those eggs, a few more hatched, and I got some better shots...

Aphids?
These look like they could be aphids to me. Please wait for an expert to confirm.

Not aphids
the antennae are the wrong shape, and cornicles are missing (compare actual aphids, below).

I think these are true bugs of some kind, but I don't recognize them. The eggs do appear to be empty (I believe I see an escape hatch open at one end of the right-most one) so they might well have originated there.
